Shares of Bharti Airtel rose over 2% to an intraday high of Rs 1,854.7 apiece on October 7 after the company announced a price hike of Rs 50 on its postpaid plans, effective immediately.
On October 7, Bharti Airtel shares closed trading 1.5% higher at Rs 1,837.8 apiece.
Bharti Airtel has raised its postpaid tariffs by Rs 50 with a revamped set of plans that bundle one free international roaming trip every year.
A company source said the free international roaming offer is worth Rs 2,000, reported PTI.
In effect, the revamped plans mean a Rs 50 hike over current tariffs for postpaid.
