Ather’s share price has risen around 20 percent over the past week after the company reported its first-ever net profit in the September quarter. Listed at Rs 326 on the BSE in May 2025, the stock is now trading at around Rs 1,600, nearly five times its listing price.
The rally has also taken Ather’s market capitalisation to around Rs 65,000 crore this week, more than 3.5 times that of Ola Electric.
The two Bengaluru-based companies were once seen as direct rivals in India’s electric two-wheeler market. However, their performance has diverged sharply over the past two years.
Soon after listing in August 2024, Ola Electric’s market capitalisation hit Rs 64,000 crore before dropping to Rs 16,000 crore in October this year. Even from the IPO price, Ola’s share price is down by over 50 percent.
Ather’s market capitalisation stood at around Rs 65,000 crore this week, more than 3.5 times that of Ola.
