Muhurat Trading 2026: The Sensex and Nifty are heading into Sunday's special Diwali trading session on a strong footing after a spectacular seven-session rally, with market experts maintaining a bullish outlook while cautioning against profit-booking following the sharp gains.
The Nifty 50 surged 2.01 percent to close at 25,030.35 on Friday, reclaiming the 25,000 mark for the first time since February 27. The Sensex jumped 2.17 percent to 81,028.02. Both benchmarks recorded their strongest weekly gains since February 2021, supported by renewed foreign institutional buying, falling crude oil prices and strong corporate earnings.
The special Muhurat Trading session on the NSE and BSE will run from 2:20 pm to 3:30 pm on November 8, marking Diwali and the beginning of Samvat 2083.
Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money, expects the Nifty's bullish momentum to continue following its breakout above 25,000. He identifies immediate resistance at 25,150-25,200, followed by 25,500. A sustained move above these levels could open the path towards 25,800-26,000. On the downside, support lies at 24,800-24,600.
Choice Broking also maintains a bullish outlook, citing the Nifty's decisive breakout above its multi-month declining trendline. The brokerage sees resistance at 25,350 and 25,800, with support at 24,000-24,400.
