BSE share price: Shares of BSE Ltd surged 3.7 percent to Rs 3,735 in early trade on Thursday, emerging among the top Nifty gainers after the exchange operator reported a 45 percent rise in Q2 FY27 net profit. It also signalled a strong recovery in derivatives trading activity following a sequential slowdown. However, brokerages offered contrasting views on the stock's outlook.
JPMorgan maintained an Overweight rating on BSE Ltd shares with a target price of Rs 3,960, implying an upside of around 10 percent from Wednesday's closing price. It cited strong earnings growth and improving profitability.
On the other hand, Bernstein retained an Underperform rating despite raising its target price to Rs 3,180, indicating a potential downside of approximately 12 percent. It flagged concerns over the sustainability of BSE's rapid growth and elevated valuations.
BSE shares have gained 41.6 percent so far in 2026, significantly outperforming the Nifty 50, which has declined 6.9 percent over the same period. The exchange operator's market capitalisation stood at approximately Rs 1.52 lakh crore.
