Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty climbed from day's low to trade in mild green on October 27 due to various reasons, including value buying.
At 10:02 am, the Sensex was up 30.42 points or 0.04% at 73,637.17, and the Nifty was up 32.05 points or 0.14% at 22,785.25. About 2,597 shares advanced, 751 shares declined, and 161 shares were unchanged.
Value buying emerged from lower levels a day after the markets snapped four-day losing streak. Sensex rose 400 points from day's low and Nifty reclaimed psychologically important 22,750-mark.
Buying in auto shares like Bajaj Auto, Maruti Suzuki India ahead of their Q2 results capped losses in markets.
Nifty needs to trade below 22,650 for any further bearishness to emerge in the market, said analysts.
