Motilal Oswal Financial Services is positive on four broad investment themes for Samvat 2083 — BFSI and Capital Markets, Manufacturing, Global Outsourcing/Exports, and Consumption and Digital as it expects improving domestic demand, capacity expansion and global trade opportunities to support growth across these segments.
Within BFSI and Capital Markets, the brokerage sees opportunities arising from steady loan growth at banks, improving margins and rising participation in capital markets. The expansion of the investor base and growing financial market activity are expected to support businesses linked to the capital markets ecosystem.
Manufacturing is another key theme, with Indian companies increasingly scaling up in areas such as healthcare devices, aerospace and auto components. Motilal Oswal believes capacity additions, healthy order books and new platforms will support multi-year growth. A shift towards higher-value products and improving operating leverage could also lift margins and returns. The brokerage sees additional opportunities emerging from diversification into semiconductors, consumer electronics, nuclear and oil and gas.
The global outsourcing and exports theme is expected to benefit from India's growing role in global supply chains. Pharmaceutical ingredients, garments and port cargo are among the segments that could gain from outsourcing opportunities and expanding trade relationships. Capacity ramp-ups, contracted business and global acquisitions are expected to provide revenue visibility. A weaker rupee could further support exporters, while trade agreements with the UK, Oman and New Zealand, along with the proposed India-EU and India-US deals, could provide additional growth opportunities.
On the consumption and digital front, Motilal Oswal sees organised businesses continuing to gain market share.
