Motilal Oswal Financial Services (MOFSL) has announced a series of leadership changes across its alternatives, wealth management and private wealth businesses, with senior executives Ajay Menon and Ashish Shanker moving on to pursue entrepreneurial ventures outside the group.
As part of the restructuring, Padmanabh Sinha will join Motilal Oswal Alternates as Managing Director and CEO, while founder Vishal Tulsyan will continue as Executive Chairman. Tulsyan, who has led the alternatives platform for 20 years, will also join the MOFSL board and continue to guide the platform's growth strategy.
Sinha brings nearly 30 years of experience in private equity and alternative investments. He previously served as Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer at the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), which manages around $5 billion in assets. He has also held leadership positions at Tata Capital and Temasek.
In the wealth management business, Suresh Shukla, currently Executive Director and Chief Business Officer, will take over as MD and CEO, succeeding Ajay Menon. Shukla has nearly three decades of experience in broking and wealth management, including a 25-year stint at Kotak Securities and three years at SBI Securities.
The private wealth management business will be jointly led by Anupam Guha and Akash Hariani as MD and CEOs. Pratik Oswal, co-promoter and board member, will take over as Chairman of Motilal Oswal Private Wealth Management (MOPWM).
