Tejas Parthasarathi Sudarshan, founder of applied AI startup Winsen Labs, recently got an opportunity to present two ideas on the use of artificial intelligence in India to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Chennai Metro journey.
Sudarshan was among 17 founders shortlisted by SPI Chennai for an interaction with the Prime Minister and other dignitaries during their journey from the airport to Poonamallee Metro station and back. In a video recounting the experience, he said he initially thought he had missed his chance to speak when the train arrived at the airport station just as his turn came.
However, Modi asked whether they had already reached the station and suggested listening to the remaining participants, giving Sudarshan an opportunity to present his ideas in about 90 seconds.
During the interaction, the entrepreneur proposed ways to make students more adept at using AI and to simplify access to government services through a unified, AI-powered service desk.
Sudarshan is the founder of Winsen Labs, an applied artificial intelligence company that focuses on exploring how AI can address practical problems.
