Morgan Austin wanted to see more significant support for hospitality businesses, including a reduction in VAT
Garlic, gherkins and plant-based milk are among more than 100 products which should become cheaper due to measures announced in the Budget.
The Treasury said the removal of import tariffs on dozens of items would save the typical household about £21 a year on their food bill.
But some businesses have questioned how much difference it will make to them, suggesting that VAT cuts or moves to make it cheaper for them to employ staff would have been better.
Morgan Austin, from burger chain Burgerism, which has six main locations and first opened in Salford in 2018, said the removal of tariffs on gherkins was good news.
