Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries Ltd. is meeting investors for a proposed initial public offering (IPO) of its Indian renewable energy subsidiary, Sembcorp Green Infra Ltd., which could raise up to ₹3,750 crore, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The company is considering launching the IPO as early as December, although the timing and size of the offering remain subject to change. Sembcorp Green Infra filed its draft IPO papers in August and is awaiting regulatory approval.
Backed by Temasek Holdings Pte., the renewable energy company plans to raise funds through a fresh issue of equity shares, with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component. According to its draft red herring prospectus (DRHP), the proceeds Id:11793024495583
will be used to repay certain borrowings of the company and its subsidiaries.
Sembcorp Green Infra is among India's 10 largest renewable energy independent power producers by operational capacity as of March 31, 2026, according to its IPO prospectus.
