Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought Indian equities worth a net Rs 3,114.68 crore on the first trading day of November. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold a net Rs 392.20 crore, according to the NSE’s combined FII/FPI and DII cash-market data.
FIIs bought shares worth Rs 16,499.46 crore and sold Rs 13,384.78 crore during the session. DIIs bought Rs 14,988.48 crore and sold Rs 15,380.68 crore.
DIIs have surprisingly been net sellers for two straight sessions amid an apparent AI bubble burst and some form of hopefulness coming back on FIIs choosing India as a key beneficiary of the same.
October ended with FII outflow of about Rs 45,162 crore. They were net sellers on 14 of the 20 sessions and net buyers on six.
DIIs bought a net Rs 62,220 crore in October. They were net buyers on 17 sessions and sellers on three.
